Tributes Pour In for West Ham Fan Killed in Alton Crash
Tragic news from Alton as a devoted West Ham supporter and father-of-one, Nicholas Davey, 28, has died following a fatal crash on the A31.
Fatal Collision on the A31
Nicholas Davey, from Coopers Road, Guildford, was involved in a serious collision at 3.45pm on Wednesday, March 8. His grey Suzuki Swift crashed with a silver Audi A4, driven by a 55-year-old woman from South Wonston who suffered minor injuries.
Mr Davey was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but sadly passed away the following day, Thursday, March 9.
Heartfelt Tributes from Family
His family has paid an emotional tribute, describing Nick as “a much loved son, brother and a doting father who leaves behind a young son.”
They added:
“He was a quirky young man and a talented barber with a huge zest for life and a kind, generous heart. Nick loved tattoos, music, West Ham, sport, and travel.”
“We are heartbroken and will miss him terribly,” the family said. They also thanked the emergency services, including the air ambulance and Southampton General Hospital staff, for their care and support during this difficult time.
The family concluded with a touching nod to Nick’s passion for Star Wars: “May the Force be with you always, Nick.”
