£15,000 Haul Stolen in Brazen Hilsea Burglary – Police Hunt Three Men
In a shocking break-in on Firgrove Crescent, Hilsea, burglars smashed their way through a window and made off with a fortune. The raid happened between 8am and 4.50pm on Wednesday, 4th January. The thieves grabbed high-end electronics including an Apple Mac and iPad, a Nikon D3300 camera with a Nikkor DX5 lens, jewellery, and a set of naval service medals (service number D147171N) – all worth around £15,000.
Three Suspects Caught on CCTV
Police have released CCTV images of three men they want to quiz over the incident. Descriptions are as follows:
- Man One: White, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 10ins tall, wearing a green and black anorak coat, blue denim jeans, and a light green Oakley beanie hat.
- Man Two: White, 20s, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall, dressed in a black hooded top, blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms, and brown shoes.
- Man Three: White, 30s, 5ft 11ins to 6ft 3ins tall, sporting a black beanie, black hooded duffle coat with fur trim, black jeans, and white trainers.
Police Plea: Recognise These Men?
PC Chris Akass said, “I am looking to speak to the three men pictured in this CCTV image, as they may have information to assist us with our investigation. If you recognise the people in these images, or recognise yourself as being one of the three men, please contact police immediately.”
He added: “I would also ask if anyone has been offered items of this nature for sale, or have already purchased these items recently, to please contact me.”
