Shaun the Sheep Statues Vandalised in Kent Charity Trail
Two Shaun the Sheep statues were smashed beyond repair in Maidstone on the night of Sunday 18 August 2024. The hand-painted sculptures, part of the Heart of Kent Hospice’s annual charity trail, were destroyed between 10pm and 10.20pm.
Suspects Spotted Kicking and Toppling Statues
Police believe the two attacks are linked. Three young males took turns kicking the statue at Fremlin Walk before pushing it over. They fled on foot heading towards Week Street.
Descriptions of the suspects have been released. One is Asian with short dark hair, wearing a black t-shirt with a small white circular logo, black trousers, and black boots. The other two are white males with dark hair, short on the sides and longer on top. One wore a grey hooded top and black shorts, the other a black long-sleeved polo-neck top and ripped dark jeans.
All were athletic builds and appear to be in their late teens or early 20s.
