UK-Wide Burglary Ring Busted
An Albanian organised crime gang and a British accomplice have been slammed with hefty jail sentences after a £1 million burglary rampage across the UK. The gang hit at least 44 properties, including nine in Staffordshire alone, stealing designer handbags, pricey wine, cash, and jewellery. Staffordshire Police teamed up with Cheshire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire forces to crack the case. They uncovered the gang’s sprawling operation, piecing together evidence and carrying out coordinated raids in Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, and Birmingham. This led to the arrest of five gang members, with a sixth caught later in Sheffield.
Loot Worth Over a Million
- The gang struck homes in Abbots Bromley, Stone, Aldridge, Marchington, and more across Staffordshire.
- Items stolen included valuable designer bags, watches, and sentimental family heirlooms.
- Police recovered nearly £17,000 in stolen goods during raids, plus 13 handbags and 14 watches.
Hefty Jail Terms Handed Down

Detective Praises Joint Effort

We’re proud to put this prolific gang behind bars and will continue fighting burglary offences in our communities.”
