Woman dies in horror crash
A woman in her 40s has died following a serious single-vehicle crash on the A338 Tidworth Road on Wednesday afternoon (April 15). At around 3.20pm, police were alerted after a Mini Cooper travelling northbound veered off the road and flipped onto its roof near Collingbourne Ducis. Emergency crews arrived quickly, but sadly the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been informed. Our thoughts are with them during this heartbreaking time.
Passenger injured; road closures in place
A male passenger in his 30s was also in the car and sustained injuries, which police say are not serious. The A338 was closed while officers carried out investigations but has now reopened to traffic.
Police seek witnesses and dashcam footage
Wiltshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team is appealing for anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
