Tragic Crash on A13 Claims Life of 45-Year-Old Man
Fatal Collision on A13 in Wennington
The Metropolitan Police are hunting for witnesses after a deadly smash on the A13 eastbound in Wennington, Havering. The crash between a car and a trailer late on Sunday night claimed the life of a 45-year-old man.
Emergency services were called at 8:30pm on June 1, but despite paramedics’ best efforts, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support.
Investigation Underway
Detective Sergeant Jon Bounds from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the probe.
“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who sadly died following this incident.
“We want to speak to anyone travelling eastbound on the A13 near Wennington Interchange between 8:25pm and 8:35pm on June 1.
“If you witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage, please come forward. Even the smallest detail could help.”
