Proud All Over is smashing the myth that Pride only matters in big cities. This bold new campaign champions smaller towns and regions, showing that allyship and celebration can happen right across the UK.

Tom Allen Takes Pride Nationwide

The campaign’s headliner is a trippy TV ad that aired on June 25, featuring comedian Tom Allen. Directed by Robert Strange and animated by 3D whizz Alfie Dwyer, the ad offers a psychedelic tour of rural Britain before landing on a breathtaking Scottish mountain top with Tom himself.

Quirky Slogans Light Up Regional Pride

Creative agency 4creative has cooked up some cheeky, bespoke slogans for over 40 regional Prides from Exmouth to Shetland and Folkestone to Llandovery. Look out for:

  • “Queer as Folkestone”
  • “Llanelli – May Cause Excitement in Your Wetlands”
  • “Shetland – Everyone Remembers Their First Time” (their very first Pride!)

These taglines will pop up on roadside posters, flyposters, railway stations, and even ad vans rolling through rural areas.

Social Media & Snapchat Bring Pride to Your Door

Channel 4 isn’t stopping there. They’ve whipped up social content for over 80 local Prides, featuring on Channel 4’s @channel4 and @thepinkpalace accounts. No local Pride? No problem. A custom Snapchat lens lets folks throw virtual Pride celebrations onto local landmarks, spreading the love nationwide.

Pride Specials & Star-Studded Parties on Channel 4

The Proud All Over push peaks with a Pride-packed TV blitz from June 30 to July 4. Favourites like Gogglebox, First Dates, and Steph’s Packed Lunch are getting Pride makeovers. Documentaries include Freedom: 50 Years of Pride and a profile on trans icon April Ashley.

The highlight? Joe Lycett’s Big Pride Party goes live from Birmingham on July 3, with headline acts Steps, Self Esteem, Rosie Jones, Olly Alexander, Tia Kofi, and Tayce lighting up the stage.

Get ready UK, Pride isn’t just in the cities this year – it’s proud all over.
