Man Arrested After Tragic Killing of Elderly Woman in Chipping Campden
Woman in Her 80s Found with Fatal Head Injuries
Police rushed to High Street, Chipping Campden just after midnight today following reports of a serious incident. An elderly woman in her 80s was discovered with severe head injuries and sadly later died from her wounds.
Major Crime Investigation Underway
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody. The victim and the suspect are believed to have known each other, with officers not looking for anyone else in connection with the case at this time.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Major Crime Investigation Team is in the early stages of the inquiry and urges anyone with information to come forward. The victim’s next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
