Golfers at the exclusive Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles were stunned when a small Cessna plane made a dramatic emergency landing right on the golf course’s lush fairways.

The single-engine Cessna, tail number N3753L, was carrying three people when it suddenly touched down at the famed course. Thankfully, no one was hurt, confirmed the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
The plane was en route to nearby Santa Monica Airport, just five miles away, when it ran into trouble and was forced to land immediately.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an official investigation to determine what caused the emergency landing.

LAFD crews were quick to respond and praised the pilot’s cool-headed and expert maneuvers, which prevented what could have been a disaster.
The historic Riviera Country Club, home to prestigious events like the Genesis Invitational, remained open and unaffected following the incident.
