Emergency services called after person is hit by a train near Southampton

Emergency services are dealing with an an incident between Brockenhurst and Southampton Central, all lines are blocked. Train services running through these stations will be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 4pm. British Transport Police" id="86034">British Transport Police received an emergency call at 11.55am and have Officers to the incident in Ashurst. Paramedics from South Central ambulance are also on the scene. South Western Railway said: “A person has been struck by a train. Our response teams are working with the emergency services to assist with the incident. In order to allow emergency services access to the railway all trains in the area will remain at a stand, and the electricity to the track may need to be switched off. More to follow
