British Transport Police received an emergency call at 11.55am and sent officers to Ashurst, where the incident occurred. Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service are also attending the scene.

“A person has been struck by a train. Our response teams are working with emergency services to assist with the incident. To allow safe access for emergency crews, all trains in the area remain stopped, and track electricity may be switched off,” said South Western Railway.
