West Midlands Fire and Rescue crews are locked in a fierce battle with a severe fire raging at a tyre store in Bromford. The inferno erupted Thursday evening at a commercial unit on Wingfoot Way, sending thick smoke billowing into the sky.
Rapid Response with 15 Appliances Deployed
Firefighters scrambled to the scene after the alarm was raised around 7pm. Initially, eight crews arrived with two hydraulic platforms to tackle the flames. Reinforcements quickly followed, bringing the total to 15 fire engines from Birmingham, West Bromwich, and Sutton Coldfield.
Fire Still Burns – Operations Being Scaled Back
The blaze has yet to be fully extinguished. However, fire crews have begun scaling down operations as they continue to contain the fire and prevent further damage.
