Huge Blaze Tears Through Popular Maidstone Nightclub
Eight fire engines and a height vehicle are still at the scene after a massive fire ripped through a well-known nightclub in Maidstone.
Firefighters Battle Blazing Inferno
At the peak of the chaos, 15 fire pumps and over 100 firefighters and officers were scrambled to tackle the fierce blaze and stop it spreading to neighbouring properties.
Fire Now Under Control, But Caution Remains
The fire is now under control, and previous warnings for locals to keep windows and doors shut due to thick smoke have been lifted. However, the public is still urged to avoid the area while emergency crews and other agencies continue their work.
Kent Police Lead Coordination Efforts
Kent Police were alerted at 2.53am on Wednesday 14 July 2021 about the fire at a commercial property on Week Street, Maidstone. Officers remain on site to support Kent Fire and Rescue Service and manage road closures. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
Residents and local businesses were initially advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke, and these safety measures are still encouraged until the situation is fully cleared.
