Power Outage Plunges Oakfield Estate into Darkness
Residents of Ryde’s Oakfield estate faced a surprise blackout on Sunday night, March 17th, as a low voltage power cut knocked out electricity to homes across five postcode areas.

The sudden loss of power left many locals scrambling as their households went dark during the evening hours. The fault hit multiple properties, causing widespread disruption.
SSE Races to Restore Power
An SSE spokesperson apologised for the inconvenience, saying: “We’re sorry for the loss of supply. We currently have a fault. Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.”

Lights Expected Back by 9pm
SSE has assured residents the issue should be fixed by 9pm Sunday evening, bringing much-needed relief to those affected.
