Police Hunting for Witnesses and CCTV
Detective Inspector Zara McAiney said:
“So far, we haven’t found any offences and there may be an innocent explanation. But we want to speak to anyone who was near the cemetery at that time. We’re asking locals to check doorbell cameras or CCTV for footage showing the girl or others arriving or leaving the cemetery.”
Ice Cream Van Rumours – Police Shut Them Down
Social media was abuzz with rumours about an ice cream van parked outside the cemetery being involved. DI McAiney firmly dismissed the claims:
“We’ve established the ice cream van is not linked in any way.”
