Teen Dies in Midnight Smash on Leeds’ Woodhouse Lane

Tragedy hit Leeds when 18-year-old Owen Ford was killed in a serious collision just after midnight on Thursday, 5 March.

What Went Down?

West Yorkshire Police say a silver Toyota Prius, working as a private hire car, slammed into Owen at around 12:15am. Emergency crews rushed him to hospital, but he sadly died from his injuries on Saturday, 21 March.

Driver Arrested and on Bail

The 55-year-old Leeds man behind the wheel was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He has since been released on bail as police continue their probe.
