Two Women Fight for Lives After Horror Head-On Smash on A350
Serious Crash Rocks A350 at Notton
A terrifying head-on collision on the A350 near Lacock has left two women in critical condition. The smash happened just before 9.15am, around 300 metres north of the Whitehall Garden Centre junction. A grey SsangYong Rexton and a private hire Vauxhall minibus collided violently.
Grim Injuries and Rapid Emergency Response
- The SsangYong driver, a woman in her 50s, was seriously hurt.
- A female passenger in the minibus, aged in her 40s, also suffered severe injuries.
Both victims were rushed to hospital after stabilisation by paramedics, including the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity’s critical care team.
“Our crew were covering Chippenham when they were dispatched to the incident at 09:16,” a GWAAC spokesperson said. “They treated a patient on scene before taking them by road ambulance to hospital for further care.”
The minibus driver was also taken to hospital as a precaution but is not believed to have serious injuries.
A350 Closed for Hours – Police Launch Investigation
As of 5.30pm, the A350 between Lackham and Lacock remains shut. Forensic teams are at the scene conducting collision investigations and recovering vehicles.
“Two individuals are in a life-threatening condition following this morning’s collision on Corsham Road, Lacock. The car driver and a minibus passenger have both been seriously injured and taken to hospital. The minibus driver is also in hospital as a precaution,” confirmed Wiltshire Police.
