Brutal Burglary Shakes Draperstown: Man Hospitalised After Wooden Bat Attack
Detectives are hunting two thugs who smashed their way into a Draperstown home on Sunday, September 8, 2024. The violent aggravated burglary struck at around 11:25 p.m. in Glenelly Villas when the pair forced their way inside, one armed with wooden bats.
Victim Left Terrified and Seriously Injured
A male occupant in his 20s suffered a savage beating during the ordeal. He was rushed to hospital with multiple cracked teeth and a deep cut to the left side of his lip. The injuries underline just how vicious the attack was.
Police Plea: Help Crack the Case
Leading the probe, Detective Sergeant Robinson pleaded for witnesses to step forward. “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to contact detectives,” he said.
