Massive Roof Tile Heist Strikes Kent Again!
Kent Police are hunting thieves after a staggering 7,000 roof tiles were pinched from a property in Garlinge Green, near Chartham, between 16-25 August.
Tiles, Scaffold Fittings, and Wheelbarrows Stolen
The crooks didn’t stop at tiles. Scaffold fittings and a wheelbarrow were also taken during the raid, adding to a recent spate of thefts across Canterbury.
Not the First Tile Theft This Month
- 4 August: 200 roof tiles stolen from Canterbury Christ Church University, North Holmes Road.
- 10 August: About 100 slate tiles taken from a renovation site in Shalmsford Street, Chartham.
While police haven’t officially linked the crimes, they urge locals to stay alert and report any suspicious activity immediately.
