Major Cocaine Gang Busted in Staffordshire – £10 Million Drugs Seized!
Police Snatch £10m Cocaine Haul in High-Stakes Sting
Staffordshire Police have dealt a huge blow to UK drug supply after smashing a major cocaine ring. The regional organised crime unit (ROCU) swooped in Sutton Coldfield on April 10, arresting three men caught red-handed with a staggering £10 million worth of Class A drugs.
Under intense surveillance, officers spotted Adam Vorster, 41, and Mohamoud Mahamoud, 29, swap a hefty black holdall during a covert stakeout on Allman Road. Vorster stood beside a silver Honda CRV, where Benjamin Holt, 43, also sat ready in the driver’s seat. Mahamoud was behind the wheel of a white Peugeot Partner van. The team moved fast to arrest all three as they exchanged bags packed with cocaine.
Over 100 Kilos of Cocaine Nabbed – One of UK’s Biggest Busts This Year
Inside that black holdall handed over by Mahamoud, officers found 21kg blocks of cocaine worth a cool £2.1 million on the streets. A thorough search of the Peugeot van uncovered another 81kg stashed in more bags, tipping the street value to about £8.1 million. The combined haul’s wholesale worth sits between £2.3m and £3.6m, making it one of the most significant seizures nationally this year.
Hard Time for Three Major Drug Dealers
The trio faced justice at Birmingham Crown Court on November 1, landing hefty sentences for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs:
- Benjamin Holt – 13 years and 2 months
- Adam Vorster – 9 years and 3 months
- Mohamoud Mahamoud – 7 years and 6 months
Police Praise Operation as a Major Win Against Drug Crime
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson hailed the coordinated takedown as a vital strike against UK drug trafficking. “This seizure and sentencing are a major step in dismantling high-level cocaine networks. Thanks to ROCU’s hard work, we have removed a vast quantity of dangerous drugs from our streets,” they said.
The bust reflects Staffordshire Police’s ongoing commitment to protecting communities from the grip of drug crime and punishing those behind large-scale trafficking.
