WA Man Jailed for Bringing in Creepy Child-Like Sex Doll and Child Abuse Material
A West Australian man has been slapped with an 18-month good behaviour bond after being caught importing a disturbing child-like sex doll and accessing horrific child abuse material.
Border Force Nabs Sick Package
The Australian Border Force (ABF) first uncovered the vile crime in early 2021 when they intercepted the doll in the international air cargo stream. The shocking discovery sparked a search at the suspect’s Fremantle home, where a stash of electronic devices were seized, believed to contain vile child abuse files.
Hundreds of Illegal Videos Found
The devices were handed over to the Western Australia Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team (JACET), a collaborative taskforce with the ABF and Australian Federal Police (AFP). A forensic probe uncovered hundreds of illegal videos, some showing young girls subjected to appalling abuse.
“Accessing and sharing child abuse material re-victimises the children depicted,” stressed AFP Acting Inspector Ross Hinscliff. “These are real children being harmed, and anyone involved feeds demand for their abuse.”
Guilty Pleas on Multiple Charges
The man pleaded guilty to:
- Possessing child abuse material (Criminal Code 1995, Section 474.22A)
- Accessing child abuse material (Criminal Code 1995, Section 474.22(1)(a)(i))
- Importing a child-like sex doll, classified as a Tier 2 good (Customs Act 1901, Section 233BAB(5))
ABF Acting Superintendent Matthew Anthony praised the collaboration between law enforcement agencies. “Our border officers are vital in identifying criminals and working with partners to bring these offenders to justice,” he said.
