More Time to Question Acid Attack Suspects

DETECTIVES investigating the Southampton acid attack have been given more time to interview two brothers. The two men, brothers Billy and Geoffrey Midmore, aged 22 and 26, remain in police custody after being arrested on Monday in Gillingham, Kent after Police raid a property. Officers have until this evening to question them.

The 33-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on police bail pending further enquiries, to return on November 20. The victim, Carla Whitlock, 37, faces losing the sight in her right eye, after acid was thrown at her in Guildhall Square in Southampton on Friday September 18.
