A man has been airlifted to hospital this afternoon from an address in Chale on the Isle of Wight.
Emergency services were called to Spanners Close just before 4pm today. Paramedics and a land ambulance attended and made a request for further medical support. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air was called to the incident after a man slipped and broke his leg. A fire crew from Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue stationed at Newport also attended to assisted with the removal of the patient who also cut his femoral artery when he fell.
The man has been flown to hospital for emergency medical attention
