Young Man Stabbed in Leytonstone

A young man has been stabbed in Leytonstone today (Monday May 7th) as horrifying violence in the capital over the bank holiday weekend continues. Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a stabbing in Waltham Forest. Police were called shortly after 16:38hrs on Monday, 7 May to reports of a boy stabbed on Leytonstone Road, E15. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. The 17-year-old boy was taken to an east London hospital where he remains. His injuries are not life-threatening. At this early stage, officers believe that a number of suspects are involved and are appealing for information on the following: – Two men arrived at Leytonstone Road on a moped before stabbing the victim. They were both wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. The pillion passenger is believed to have had a firearm, which he discharged towards the victim. – A dark car following the moped, four people got out of the vehicle and attacked the victim before driving away. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
