Essex Fire Truck Overturns En Route to Blaze
A fire engine from Manningtree Fire Station flipped over tonight while rushing to tackle a field fire in Bulmer.
Blues and Twos Crash in Stoke by Nayland
The off-road fire vehicle was speeding with blue lights at 7:40pm on Thursday 9 August when it overturned near Stoke by Nayland. Luckily, no other vehicles were involved in the smash.
Four Crew Members Involved, Three Hospitalised
- Two firefighters escaped uninjured on their own.
- Two others were freed by Suffolk firefighters and ambulance crews.
- Three crew members were taken to hospital for checks, but none suffered life-threatening injuries.
The Essex County Fire Service confirmed all were safe and receiving proper care after the dramatic incident.
