Branson Reagan Found Guilty at Harrow Crown Court
Branson Reagan, from San Diego, pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault at Harrow Crown Court on Monday, 22 July. He was sentenced the same day to four years and nine months behind bars.
The attack happened in Brent back in September 2015 when Reagan, who was studying in the UK, visited the victim while she slept.
Victim’s Courage Leads to Justice
The survivor courageously reported the crime in July 2020. Specialist officers launched a thorough investigation, securing Reagan’s court appearance after he was granted leave from the US Navy.
Detective Constable Frederick Titchener, who led the case, praised the victim’s bravery:
“We worked hard to bring justice to a woman who put her trust in the UK to keep her safe while she was studying in London. We admire and thank the enormous courage she had to come forward. We hope it encourages others in similar situations to do the same.”
“Tackling violence against women and girls is a top priority for the Met. We are committed to supporting victims and cracking down on predatory men who commit these crimes.”
