Man Arrested Over Shocking Birmingham Carjacking
Detectives have arrested a 39-year-old man following a violent carjacking at a Birmingham garage forecourt.
Car Stolen During Tyre Inflation
The suspect was caught at an address in Marston Green and is now in custody, suspected of robbery and assaulting a police officer.
The dramatic theft happened on November 14 when a man in his 40s was filling his tyres at a garage on Chester Road in Tyburn. The crook snatched the Vauxhall while the victim was still at the pump.
Victim Injured but Recovering
The victim was hurt as the thief sped off in the car. The Vauxhall was found and recovered shortly after the incident.
“The victim was taken to hospital but is now recovering at home,” police confirmed.
