Man, 34, Arrested in West London Terror Funding Sting

Raid by Met’s Counter Terrorism Unit

A 34-year-old man was hauled in by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command on 14 March. Cops swooped on a west London address, arresting him on suspicion of funding terrorism under Section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Detained and Released Under Investigation

The suspect was held under PACE and taken to a south London police station. He has since been released but remains under investigation as officers dig deeper.

Police Search Now Complete

A full search of the west London property was carried out and is now finished. The Met confirms enquiries are ongoing.
