Baby Killer James Dean Clark Found Guilty of Murdering Son
James Dean Clark, 31, from Warmley, South Gloucestershire, has been convicted of murdering his baby son, Sean Clark. The jury at Bristol Crown Court rejected Clark’s denial of responsibility. Sean’s mother, Helen Jeremy, 27, from Kingswood, was cleared of all charges.
Sean Found Unresponsive With Shocking Injuries
Sean was discovered lifeless in his cot on the morning of 14 January 2018. Post-mortem exams revealed a horrific toll: 74 broken ribs and two severe head injuries. Some wounds were fresh, others were healing – showing abuse over time. Experts said the injuries matched violent shaking shortly before Sean’s death.
Senior Investigator Condemns Clark’s Lack of Remorse
“James Clark is responsible for the most repulsive and hideous of crimes – the murder of a defenseless child,” said Superintendent James Riccio, lead investigator.
“The sheer brutality and multiple assaults over time shocked all of us involved. Despite this, Clark showed no remorse throughout the lengthy trial.”
“As his father, he should have protected Sean, not caused him pain and suffering.”
Clark faces sentencing on 24 September after a trial that lasted more than three and a half years.
