Tragic M25 Motorbike Death: Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Lorry Driver

Collision detectives are scrambling for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a horror crash on the M25. The victim, a man in his 40s, was killed in a smash involving a blue Suzuki motorbike, a silver Toyota Corolla, and a lorry – which fled the scene.

Fatal Crash on M25 Between Junction 5 and 6

The collision happened just before 12:30pm on Thursday, 26 September 2024, on the clockwise M25 between junction 5 (A21/M26) and Clacket Lane Services before junction 6. Emergency crews rushed to the scene but could not save the rider.

Police have released images of a lorry they suspect was involved. It has a white cab and a blue curtain-sided trailer, with yellow lettering. Officers believe the lorry driver may not have realised the gravity of the incident before driving off.

Serious Collision Unit Appeals for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

“We urge the lorry driver to come forward. We are also appealing to motorists with dashcams to check their footage for anything that could help,” said Detective Inspector Pete Greaves, heading the investigation.

If you saw the crash or have dashcam clips, contact Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 quoting reference HW/DC/100/24. Alternatively, email [email protected] or upload footage via the Kent and Essex Police online evidence portal.

Families Devastated as Police Piece Together Puzzle

The motorcyclist’s family have been informed, and officers continue working to unravel what caused the deadly pile-up. With a lorry driver on the run, police are desperate for any scrap of info to bring answers and justice.
