Cop Hospitalised with Broken Leg After Brutal Crowthorne Attack

A police officer has been left with a broken leg and is currently in hospital after being attacked on Crowthorne’s High Street.

The shocking incident unfolded just past 8.30pm on Monday, April 15, near Lidl. Officers were called after reports of a woman verbally abusing members of the public.

Woman Arrested and Released on Bail

During the scuffle, the female officer suffered a serious leg injury that needed hospital treatment. She remains in hospital recovering.

A local woman was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm without intent. She has since been questioned and released on police bail until May 9.

Police Launch Appeal for Witnesses

“An officer suffered a serious leg injury as a result of this incident,” said Detective Constable Clare Hickman of Bracknell and Wokingham CID.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened or caught it on dash-cam to call 101 quoting reference 43190114679. If you have any information that can help, please get in touch.”
