A 45-year-old man has been charged following a brutal stabbing with an axe in Acton Park, Ealing. Adam Abdillahi, from Australia Road, Hammersmith and Fulham, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder last Thursday. He was formally charged the next day and remanded in custody at Ealing Magistrates’ Court.
Victim in Critical Condition After Park Attack
The victim, a 31-year-old man, was found with a stab wound to his back on a footpath in the parkland on 2 April at 5.29pm. Police and emergency crews, including the London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene and administered first aid. He remains in critical condition in the hospital.
Another Man Arrested and Released on Bail
A second suspect, aged 44, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder two days earlier on 4 April but has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detective Inspector John Gillespie: “Our thoughts remain with the man and his family as he continues to receive medical treatment. This incident happened near a busy main road, close to tennis courts and a mini golf course at the bottom of the park.
