Fire rips through Enfield flat

The London Fire Brigade rushed to a flat fire in Gladbeck Way, Enfield, yesterday afternoon (December 16). Two fire engines from Enfield and Edmonton sped to the scene after emergency calls came in just after 4 p.m.

Man pronounced dead at the scene

Firefighters battled the blaze until shortly before 7 p.m., managing to extinguish the flames that had damaged part of a second-floor flat. Sadly, a man was found dead at the scene. The London Fire Brigade confirmed: “Unfortunately, a man has died following a flat fire on Gladbeck Way in Enfield.”

Investigation underway

The cause of the fire and the man’s death are still under investigation. Authorities are working to uncover what sparked the tragic fire that has left a community in shock.
