Armed Police Place Derby Road in Eastleigh on Lockdown following isolated incident

Armed police officers from Hampshire Constabulary have placed a road in Eastleigh on lockdown whilst they deal with with an “isolated incident. Officers in marked BMW X5 descended on to Derby Road in the town on Saturday afternoon. A second property is also being search and armed officers have also been seen at several other locations in the both Eastleigh Town and nearby Hedge End. Police have also placed a closure on Lakeside Road with a Van blocking both entrances to the road. A spokesman on behalf for the Constabulary confirmed that they are dealing with an isolated incident and reassure the public are kept safe. More to follow
