Armed Police Lockdown in Eastleigh Amid ‘Isolated Incident’
Armed officers from Hampshire Constabulary swooped on Derby Road, Eastleigh, on Saturday afternoon, locking down the area. Marked BMW X5 police vehicles sealed off the street as officers tackled an ongoing incident.
Multiple Locations Under Police Watch
A second property is currently under search, with armed officers spotted at various spots across Eastleigh town and nearby Hedge End. Lakeside Road is also shut, blocked by a van to stop all traffic entering or leaving.
Police Reassure Public Over Safety
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: “We are dealing with an isolated incident and are working to keep the public safe.”
