Articulated lorry hit a railway bridge in West Dulwich

Firefighters attended a road traffic collision after an articulated lorry hit a railway bridge on Thurlow Road in West Dulwich. It caused significant traffic disruption on the A205 South Circular between Avenue Park Road and Norwood Road. London Fire Brigade Station Commander Paul Morgan, who was in attendance, said: “Firefighters were mobilised to the incident and crews ensured that the scene safe. Thankfully there were no injuries. There was no further action for the Brigade. Our understanding is that a local specialist recovery crews were sent to the scene to help release the vehicle.” The Brigade was called at 8.30am and the incident was over for the Brigade by 10am. Two fire engines from West Norwood and a fire rescue unit from Battersea were in attendance.
