Lorry Smashes Into Railway Bridge in West Dulwich Chaos

Firefighters rushed to the scene after an articulated lorry crashed into a railway bridge on Thurlow Road, West Dulwich. The smash caused major traffic chaos on the A205 South Circular, snarling up the route between Avenue Park Road and Norwood Road.

Fire Brigade Quick to Act

West Dulwich’s Fire Brigade mobilised swiftly. Station Commander Paul Morgan said, “Firefighters were mobilised to the incident and crews ensured the scene was safe.” Thankfully, no one was hurt in the collision.

Recovery Teams Step In

Specialist recovery crews were called in to free the stuck lorry. The Brigade received the call at 8:30am and cleared the scene by 10am. Two fire engines from West Norwood and a fire rescue unit from Battersea attended.
