Two men have been charged in connection with the death of 40 year-old Iron Miah in Whitechapel

On Tuesday, 19 November police were called to Nelson Street, E1, after a man, later formally identified as Mr Miah was found collapsed with a head injury. He was taken to hospital where he died on Thursday, 21 November. Hassan Mohammed, 31  of Cumberland Road, Portsmouth, was arrested on Sunday, November 24. He was charged with murder on Wednesday, 27 November and remanded to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court the same day. Nanu Miah, 20 (, of Brandon Street, Southwark was arrested on Thursday, 28 November and charged with murder the following day. He was remanded to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 30 November. Both men have been remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 14 February.   On Sunday, November 24, a 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been released on bail until a date in late December. On Monday, 25 November,  a 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder. She has been released on bail until a date in mid-December.
