Three Teens Nabbed After Dagenham Car Theft and Police Chase
Police have arrested three teenagers following a daring car theft in Dagenham. Just after 3am on Wednesday, officers spotted a stolen white Mercedes C Class cruising down Oxlow Lane. When cops signalled the car to stop, the driver sped off, sparking a police pursuit.
High-Speed Chase Ends in Foot Chase
The chase came to a halt near Hunters Hall Road junction. The three lads inside – aged 15, 16, and 17 – jumped out and bolted on foot. Officers gave chase and swiftly detained all three.
Burglary Suspects Held, PlayStation Recovered
All three teens were arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in custody. Police then checked the registered owner’s nearby home and found it insecure. The car’s owner confirmed the Mercedes was stolen in a recent burglary. A stolen PlayStation 4 was also recovered inside the vehicle.
Police continue their enquiries into the incident.
