Belal Ali Charged with Robbery
Belal Ali, 36, from Princelet Street, Whitechapel, was arrested and charged with robbery on Thursday, 14 May. The suspect has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 15 May.
Crime Stunned Locals Back in 2019
The charge stems from a daring robbery at MS Express newsagents on Osborn Street, E1, that took place at 3am on 16 November 2019.
Victim Attacked and Hospitalised
A man in his 30s was assaulted during the robbery and needed hospital treatment. Police had issued a public appeal to find Ali before his recent arrest.
