Burglary Suspect Busted for Knife Crime and Cop Assault

Patrick Dandas, 26, from Nixon Avenue, is accused of breaking into a home in Clifton Gardens on the afternoon of Saturday, April 10, 2021. After a review by the Crown Prosecution Service, Dandas was slapped with charges of burglary and possession of a knife linked to the break-in.
Charged with Assault and Custody Escape
But that’s not all. On Wednesday, April 14, while being held on suspicion, Dandas allegedly assaulted a Kent Police officer. The very next day, Thursday, April 15, he allegedly made a break for it from Margate Police Station.
Court Appearance and Remand
Dandas faced Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, April 17. He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, May 17.
