London Underground Robbery Spree: Cunning Crooks Caught on CCTV
Police warn London Tube travellers after a series of bold robbery attempts and muggings. Today, officers released CCTV images of suspects linked to several incidents across the Underground network.
Bag Snatchers and Chasers Strike Evening Tube
At 5.45pm on Wednesday 18 November 2020, four men tried to snatch a victim’s bag aboard a Tube train. The victim jumped off at Piccadilly Circus station and was chased by the gang – but managed to escape unharmed.
Four Victims Robbed on Green Park Platform
Just 30 minutes later, at around 6.15pm, four men tailed a group of four victims from South Kensington to Green Park. Once on the platform, the criminals struck, stealing possessions from all four.
Victims Chase, Staff Save at Green Park and Westminster
- The next day, at 3pm, three men chased a victim through Green Park station after trying to mug them on board the train. The victim escaped by alerting station staff, forcing the men to flee.
- About an hour later, three men tried to snatch a phone at Westminster station but failed.
