Four Arrested After Massive Christmas Day Brawl Rocks Woking

Chaos erupted in Woking town centre in the early hours of Christmas Day, leading to four arrests. Surrey Police slapped cuffs on suspects after a huge fight broke out, pulling in crowds of up to 100 onlookers.

Christmas Morning Chaos on Chertsey Road

Officers rushed to Chertsey Road around 3am following reports of a major public order incident. The fight saw aggressive scenes, with several taxi drivers caught up and intimidated during the fracas.

Police deployed multiple units, including dog teams and the NPAS helicopter, to break up the crowd. Despite coins being thrown at officers, the situation was brought under control by 4am, restoring calm to the town centre.

Police Hunt Witnesses and CCTV Footage

Four people remain in custody, facing public order offence charges. Surrey Police are urgently appealing for witnesses to step forward—especially anyone who captured the wild scenes on their phones.

Officers are also scouring CCTV and want anyone with information to help crack the case. Detective Superintendent Clinton Blackburn said:

“Christmas Eve is usually a time for fun and celebrations but things took a nasty turn with this street brawl. Our teams acted swiftly under tough conditions to restore order.” “We will not tolerate this behaviour. We’re determined to identify all involved and bring them to justice. Anyone who witnessed the incident must come forward.”
