A man died after falling ill at a bus stop close to Eastbrook School in Dagenham this afternoon. The incident happened just before 1.30pm on Dagenham Road, sparking a swift emergency response.

Rapid Response from Emergency Crews

London Ambulance Service and Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene within minutes. An ambulance crew, advanced paramedic, incident response officer, and clinical team manager were all deployed. Paramedics arrived in under four minutes but, despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Scene Secured as Investigation Begins

Emergency teams put up a yellow tent and cordoned off the area, closing it to the public. Concerned residents and passers-by watched as crews worked. The Metropolitan Police have been contacted, but no details yet on whether the death is being treated as suspicious.

“We were called at 1.28pm today (17 April) to reports of a person unwell on Dagenham Road, Dagenham. We sent resources quickly, with our first paramedics arriving in less than four minutes. Sadly, despite their best efforts, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
