Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Bus Crash on Turlin Road

At 2.28pm on Friday, June 10, Dorset Police were called to a collision involving a single decker bus and a pedestrian on Turlin Road.

Emergency crews, including the ambulance service, rushed to the scene. The pedestrian, a local man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital. His family has been informed.

Road Closures and Investigation Underway

Road closures were put in place to help emergency teams deal with the crash and to carry out a detailed scene examination.

“We are conducting a detailed investigation to determine the full circumstances of this collision,” said Traffic Unit Sergeant Sarah Jones. “I urge any witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police to come forward. Anyone with dashcam footage that could assist our inquiry should also get in touch. Finally, we thank the public for their patience during the road closures.”
