Multi-Vehicle Crash on A2 Near Canterbury: Emergency Services Respond to Major Incident

Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) swiftly responded to reports of a bungalow on fire along West Hythe Road in Hythe. The incident took place on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at approximately 10pm on Wednesday evening 3rd January 2023.

Upon receiving the emergency call, control operators dispatched seven fire engines, a height vehicle, and a bulk water carrier to the scene. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, skillfully tackled the blaze using hose reel jets and main jets, successfully extinguishing the flames.

In addition to the firefighting teams, KFRS’s volunteer response team was also on hand to provide valuable advice and support to the residents affected by the incident.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined, but initial assessments suggest that it may have been accidental.
