Sheffield Crackdown: Two Men Hit with 13 Charges After Police Sting
Two Sheffield men have been slapped with 13 crimes after a slick police operation nabbed them in a dramatic neighbourhood crackdown.
Plain-Clothes Officers Strike in Sheffield
Undercover cops from the Broomhall and Walkley local policing teams joined forces for a targeted sweep on the evening of Wednesday, January 24. The action took place on Exeter Drive during the Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action. Their efforts led to the arrest of two suspects, who were quickly hauled into custody.
Serious Charges for Both Men
- Hassan Mohammad, 23, of Edward Street, now faces a raft of charges including firearm and ammunition possession, carrying a knife in public, intent to supply heroin and cocaine, and holding criminal property.
- Abdulrahman Yafooz, 26, from Mount Street, has been charged with seven offences including carrying an offensive weapon in public, involvement in cocaine supply, possession of a knife blade in public, plus three counts of possessing criminal property.
Next Stop: Sheffield Crown Court
Both men appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on January 26, where they were remanded in custody. They face their next hearing on February 23, 2024, at Sheffield Crown Court.
