Teen Girl Killed as Toyota Hilux Flips on A249
Police are urgently hunting witnesses after a horrifying crash on the A249 near Gravesend that claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl.
Crash Details
The smash happened around 6:45pm on Saturday, 24 February. A white Toyota Hilux, heading towards Sittingbourne, crashed into a road barrier near the Church Hill junction before overturning. No other vehicles were involved.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but tragically the teenage passenger died. The 23-year-old male driver remains in custody helping police with their inquiries.
Kent Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the probe. They want dashcam footage or any information about the Toyota’s movements before the crash to piece together what happened.
