Oldham is reeling after a shocking late-night attack on Busk Road left two men injured with gunshot and stab wounds. The violent spree unfolded around 8.30pm on May 22, 2024, sending shockwaves through the community.
Victims Rushed to Hospital
Emergency services were called into action when a man arrived at Royal Oldham Hospital’s A&E with serious gunshot wounds to his arms. Minutes later, police found a second male victim at the scene. Both are currently receiving medical care.
Two Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Murder
Police have arrested two men, aged 22 and 29, suspected of attempted murder in connection with the attack. Detective Inspector Alex Wilkinson is leading the investigation and confirmed officers are examining CCTV footage from the area that captured the violent disturbance.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Out
