Repeat Knife Offender Jailed for Machete Possession
Joshua Niyongira, 25, of St Norbert Road, Nunhead, was locked up for 21 weeks after admitting to carrying a large black machete knife in Woolwich on August 9. This wasn’t his first knife offence, prompting the court to hand down an immediate custodial sentence.

- Scott Francis, 40, from Whimbrel Close, Thamesmead, caused nearly £9,000 damage to an Audi in January. He dodged jail but must complete 40 hours of unpaid work and pay £400 compensation to the car owner.
