A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault that occurred in Ramsgate in the early hours of Thursday, November 7. Kent Police were called shortly after 1 a.m. following reports that a man had been assaulted on Harbour Street.
Emergency services attended the scene, and the victim was transported to a London hospital, where he remains receiving treatment for his injuries.
Following an investigation, Peter Smith, 43, of no fixed address, was arrested around 4:30 a.m. the same morning. He has now been charged with causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).
Smith is scheduled to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, November 8, as police continue their investigation into the incident.
